Still on Trend!

It’s difficult to get to grips with the fact that Yarrington is now in its 21st year. Where did that go? From small beginnings in a back bedroom in Camberley, Surrey to the large full service agency based in Shrewsbury, its been an amazing journey with some incredible moments along the way. Throughout this year I’ll be highlighting some of our standout projects and clients and so, as Julie Andrews once said, let’s start at the very beginning…

MD and Founder, Mark Allsop, looks back on a bit of history

1997 TREND Conference – Grand Hotel Brighton

Three days, two screens and Windows NT. Music running on CDs, tape based video editing on Premiere 4.2 and creaky PowerPoint. We talked on Nokia phones, used cameras to take photographs, trusted Compaq computers and as for Internet connection? No chance.

Well, we must have done something right as we have continued to work with the wonderful team at Trend to this day. What’s interesting is that in some respects events haven’t changed. Get the content sorted, plan, check and check again. Leave nothing to chance and never become complacent.

Since then we’ve produced thousands of events in the UK, Europe, North America and the Middle East but this one will always have a special place in my heart.
